Learn to Speedskate
(Adult Class)
General Information
- The "Learn to Speedskate" adult class is for skaters at all skill levels. Everyone is encouraged to register for this class.
- Ages 14+ are welcome, if accompanied by an adult
- Students are encouraged to have their own longblade skates. There is a limited number of longblade rentals available and the popular sizes get taken fast.
Note! -- Class format has changed.
- Currently (January 2008),
- The class consists of a 1.5 hour ice session at the Guidant John Rose Oval in Roseville. Exact dates are determined by the number of skaters registered.
- Typically, class is held on a Wednesday at the 5:00 pm public skate session (normally, not a very busy time so it is ideal)
- Class size has been small, so plenty of time with the instructor.
- In the past,
- The class consisted of three, 1.5 hour ice sessions at the Guidant John Rose Oval in Roseville.
- Skate sharpening and skate maintenance were also taught.
- Typically, class was held on Wednesdays at the 5:00 pm public skate session (normally, not a very busy time so it was ideal)
- Historical class size had been 10-15 students.

Registration for the "Learn to Speedskate" Adult Class is through Roseville Parks and Recreation.
